Cách phân biệt say, talk, speak và tell
- Say: là động từ mang nghĩa “nói ra” hoặc “nói rằng”, chú trọng nội dung được nói ra.
- Speak: nhấn mạnh đến việc “phát ra tiếng, phát ra lời” mang nghĩa “nói chuyện với ai (speak to somebody), phát biểu, nói ra lời”. Speak thông thường theo sau nó không có tân ngữ. nếu có thì đó là danh từ chỉ thứ tiếng.
- Talk: mang nghĩa là “nói chuyện với ai”, “trao đổi với ai về chuyện gì” nhưng khác speak ở chỗ nó nhấn mạnh đến động tác “nói” hơn.
- Tell: mang nghĩa “kể, nói với ai điều gì đó (tell somebody something), bảo ai làm gì (tell somebody to do something) , cho ai biết điều gì (tell somebody about something).”
Dịch nghĩa: Làm thế nào để kể ra sự khác biệt giữa một cái dĩa xiên salad, cái dĩa bơ và một cái dĩa xiên món tráng miệng?
